I've just returned to the game after about a 3 year layoff (!) I quit playing because I became disgusted that they kept changing it with every patch. I'm a mediocre player and the changes just kept making it harder for me. And less fun to play!
Now I'm playing it with no patches. Straight out of the box. The way it was originally designed to be played. It's fun! Of course, I won't be able to submit to the Metaverse. But anyway I'm having fun and that's what counts...

Just joined, but I have my birthday order in for GalCivII already.  Brad can be proud. This is the first game ever where I purchased the cheap, jewel-case version of an older game and was so impressed that I started making immediate plans to get the latest version. I've never, ever done that before.
You see - I'm cheap.  No, not really. I'm married with children, therefore I am discerning with my money.

I'm here, although I'm not very prolific in posting or quick in playing games. I've played the intro game for galcivII, and I like Galciv1 better.
