i have TONS of survey ships traveling around on auto picking up anomally benefits. I get all these +1 hit point, weapon/defence percentage boosts. then i look at my ships and they have the same stats as a ship would without any bonuses. whats going on. is this a bug

Well, the bonuses you mention are only for the ship that hits the anomoly, not for all your ships. Helps it stay out longer before getting killed by a shark. Other benefits (like morale boost) are for your society. And no, this isn't very clear. Made me stop building multiple survey ships, though.

I usually build an extra survey ship or two, but mainly just for exploration. The AI tends to only build one survey ship (at least until the availablity of Rangers) so when they get that one destroyed they don't get any of the anomalies. Since anomalies are basically free bonuses, I try to get as many as I can.

what.....thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard. So all these increases in attack power, hitpoints, armor are only affecting the survey ship that hits them. Can anything other than survey ship even explore anomalies. because if their the only ones that can explore anomalies than that is just retarded.

wait a second....when i go to my civilizations stats it shows that the percentage increases in attack power are stacking together and are being displayed as something that affects my entire civilization. right now ive got a +18% to ship attacks. do you think thats something that will appear during battle and not at all times.

david,

Some, but not all, of the bonuses only go to your survey ship. You have to read the popup carefully to see what it is affecting.

Survey ships, Star Hawks, and Rangers are the only ships that can collect anomalies. Bonuses accumulated on a Ranger can make it a formidable ship!

IIRC, the percentage bonuses apply to your civilization, and the "points" bonuses (like hit points, defense, and attack) apply to the survey ship. You can end up with a very formidable survey ship, if that ship is lucky.
