Don't just think of those menasing space sharks as a liability..
They can be a usefull asset.
How??? I hear you ask..
Simple I say...
Simply lure them (by just staying out of attack range while having them follow you.. But I get slightly ahead of myself
when you find a space shark keep moving just far enough to stay out of its attacking range. Build up a fleet of Constructors to follow or ready to pounce on space resources (far enough away so that the space sharks wont attack them
then lure them towards alien space stations which are on recources.. because they can't move they are easy targets.. simply move your ship (the bait) to the other side of the space station so that the space shark will attack it instrad of you.. If the space shark is strong enough it'll destror the alien space station.. Then lure the space shark onto the next nearest alien space station..
When the space shark is far enough away that it won't turn to your constructors then simply move in and harvest the resource yourself..
Thus turning the space Sharks into an asset as opposed to a liability.. just be carefull..
This should also work for the escaped zoo creatures and prisoners but there are more of them so try to split them up when they apear..
they are very strong creatures and you should be able to claim quite a few space resources at no cost of a fleet or loss of diplomatic relations.. and if the aliens do destroy the space shark's then its no loss to you..
Hope this is of interest.. I find it fun to use the computers monsters to help me instead of what they were designed for
bet of luck and happy gaming

Thats a fun thing to do, never thought about constructors... I like luring them around the map into trade roots between other races sometimes, and fleets if possible.
I build an expendable Survey Ship and send it around to to all the Space Shark eggs in my rivals' space. And while it's terrorizng their shipping, I'm stealing all their anomalies.
