I have been trying some of the scenarios with teams. The implication is, the bond between teamed races is even stronger than ally but the difficulty of making deals with high intelligence AI is still frustrating. In other words you might as well just give them your tech and do the best you can on your own.

I have no problem staying at peace with them but I wish some sort of quid pro quo arrangement could be made with a teamed race.
