Well, it's extreame late game here and I've got quite a few excaliburs running around wipeing the board and just running in combat transports like crazy.
It occoured to me that my well of combat transports were running dry, so I decided to do a military swap from excal to combat transports for a single turn (all colonies either building constructors or (mostly) excal). Well, this is a great way to kick up the combat transports, and with 6000B pop it also ended up slightly raising morale. Now, I have 280 colonies and that single turn put out roughly 1000B in combat transports, meaning that if they were all full, that'd be 200 transports. Now, I'm not too concerned with guarding them in any way or anything like that, but directing them all is gonna be a pain.
Question is: is there any way to direct all ships of a certain class to a rally point? This would save immense ammouts of time in directing all the ships.
I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but by clicking the ships button at the bottum of the screen a list of all your ships will come up. From their you can move your sceen to where you want to launch the ships. Then by clicking the little blue arrow next to them, they will go to the center of your screen.
Hmm, I might have to end up doing that, but it's not really what I would ideally like to do.
I'm going more for I've got 200 transports at 150 or so different locations. I'm lucky with some and they're in groups of up to 5, but that's it. It's quite time consuming to direct each ship, I'm looking for something simmilar to the military swap button that changes all ships of a class being built to another, except it directs all ships of a class to a certain point.
Well as far as I know the only way to do it is through the ship button. Maybe you could say something to stardock about that because i do alot of that with constructors, and it is very time consuming.
I have used with success the ability to set rally point for planets when the list of the planet is on the right panel. Very useful to regroup constructors befor deciding whet to do with them. I am not sure if this could be useful now that the ships are built.
And don't forget that when relaoding, planets forget the rally point that where assignated to their military production
