At crippling/small/rare i've found I can easily get 2 planets at the start and then quickly get 4-6 more against 1-3 civs, after this my population is 4-5 times the other civs and i am by far the favorite, i end up with all the TG's and far ahead in techs, i then trade them to the other civs for all there ships and invade, I quickly conquer the civs left when they only have 1 to 3 ships, why will the other civs trade all their ships to another civs when they have combat transport then outside all their planets and they being then undefended? Has this been looked into I don't think this should be occuring but as long as it is i'm gonna exploit it.

The AI has some flaws. You are right, the AI should never put its planets in jeopardy like that.

At this point you can either exploit that cheese or not. I think that they will not fix it until Galciv 2.

Don't think of it as cheese. Think of it as funding a coup. You take over the planet and put those who supported you in power...
