Why grows the computer his pop must faster then mine?

I have notice that A.I. planets on general have much more population then me and in the graph does teh Ai his population raise faster then mine even when I have the same amount or more planets. So how can I let my population raise as fast as the one of the AI?

Well, the growth rate is doubled on planet with 100% morale.
