Devious Morality Shift

I'm usually conflicted at the start of the game...I like to be good, prefer trade/influence/diplomacy ways to win, and Trade Centers are sweet as, but those short term benefits of being evil - +37% Planet Quality, +33% Production..how can even a saint like me say no to that?
So now I don't say no; during the initial colonising rush I take all the evil choices and grab the benefits while they are there. Once the rush is over and I meet the other races, I build Colony Ships with just a few million on 'em and ship em over to the other races territory, looking for uncolonised stars with planets of 12 or 13 quality, colonise them, take the 'good' option if it comes up, and immediately trade or gift the planet to another race; my morality quickly improves to Good (ha!)and my opponent is burdened with a low quality planet that is a drain on their resources. Now I'm good, I get more trade, and help from the other nice guys in the galaxy, even if I've stiffed them with dud planets!!!

Using colony ships to get those morality-shifting opportunities will work with planets as small as size 10.
