Ok this strat consist on manipulating your enemy which is easily done in this game without using any military threat,
the most important thing you should know before reading this is having a decent military helps you in many way, if you want to lose then keep massing colony ships until you get wiped out.

Inside your empire there are some place where the planets are more concentrated than another sector, so i higly sugget you to pick the most concentrated sector you can find before building your trade empire, first thing you have to do is building those trade modules inside that designated space and only build freighters within it, now use these freighter to reach the most distant colony, and make sure you have a lot of contacts with the other civ now the next important step is to make them go to war against each other, you see the AI is dumb and they will listen to you anytime expecially when they are on debt and your military rating is much higher than them, so next thing to do is making them love you no matter what so in each trade you deal make sure they get 50$ benefits each time because they consider those kind of stuff and it could be useful at a given time, now let see after they go peace mutually all their trade routes will be directed to you only if you have followed each steps correctly. Now spot the weakest of them and get all his cultural pts after you do this try to get one of his planets for a given number of tech, military tech tends to have much more values so use them, after this youll notice that with a given % of influence based monument your territory will rapidly expand inside his, which is a good thing because you dont want to go war with him, now repeat these process i have given you until your left alone with another civilization now do this make sure you protect one minor civilization before doing this or wait until one appears go in war with them then before u exterminate them give one of your designated system to him but try to use one that is far enough from your empire ok now that you protect your trade lines, go in war with the last civ thats the only thing you can do if you cant dominate culturally but if you are powerful enough it should be easy because you can ask peace whenever you want and when you do this make sure you ask a lot of money cause these deal will help you crush them, i hope thi has helped, i am out now, bye (sorry if i have a lot of spelling errors)

Silent Fires,

What are the intelligence settings of your alien races? I'm curious if such a scenario will always be possible at the higher settings?
