Tech victory has been killed for the metaverse because it used to reap huge points through milking after letting a major spend their miserable life on a class 1 planet you had settled for them. Many of us said there shouldn't be modifiers for type of victory.

About getting allied: Quit trading with your current ally and redirect all trade routes to the remaining civ, wait a bit and make big gifts.

can someone give me that site that has the tech tree plz i need to check the fastest way to something.

and its actually more like

tech-1
culture-2
alliance-2.5,3
military-4,4.5

i have personally got a tech score of 8000+ and restarted it and got a mil score of 23000+ (Maso on a gigantic.) most incredibly boring thing ive ever done. it was not fun and took me 2 days playing non stop.

in the new expansion are there any new ships? and/ or techs/races

http://www.galciv.com/survive/docs/gfx/techtree.jpg Link has the tech tree.

Regarding high scores: military victory against the hardest AI setting you find fun and the largest map size you enjoy while researching all the techs is what gave me scores over 11,000. I now turn off all other victory conditions if I am trying for a high score. Have fun.

Played today on large painful and culture-flipped my last opponent before I maxed out the tech. The score was a little over 12,000. So I could get a good feel for what tech development adds, I reloaded and gave those snakey Torians a fully maxed out 343% culture boosting star base. This kept their final planet "in the green". I then finished tech, built a couple of wonders that it gave me, and terraformed most of my planets. After getting all the tech, I build about a dozen maxed out culture bases on their border, got my influence into the millions in their sector, and finally flipped the snakes. My final score I submitted to the metaverse was a bit under 15,000 and my highest score yet. So, for what it is worth, finishing the tech added a 20 to 25% boost to my score where I won the military victory without the tech. This is not pure because the population went up and I got a couple more trade good / wonders but is sort of gives a feel for what researching all the techs can do to one's score. As mentioned above, I turn the non-military victory conditions off because military scores much better than the other victory methods. Please share your point boosting strategies. Thanks.

Rick
