The number of planets you have shouldn't influence your morale.
Morale is determined for each planet individually depending on its PQ and population size, modified by tax rate, morale bonuses (from techs, trade goods, wonders, anomalies, resources, and starting picks), morale improvements built on the planet, and any funds you dedicate to keep the morale on that planet high (from the planet details screen).
There might also be planet specific morale bonuses assigned during colonization events. I don't remember.
If you have a global morale problem try lowering your taxes for an immediate solution. Otherwise be on the lookout for morale resources (yellow tube shaped thingy). Some techs will give you a global 10% morale bonus so these migh also be worth looking into. Also, there's hardly any way to avoid building at least some morale improvements, so having entertainment networks and stadiums on all your planets is nothing to be ashamed of.
Failing all else you can also build colony ships or transports and put some population in there. You can always offload these again later if you want. Or move them to other higher PQ planets.
